St. Caletric of Chartres - Wood Turners and died 573. His Feast Day: October 8 and September 4.

He was Bishop of Chartres 557-573. Early in the 13th century the Cathedral of Chartres was being constructed. It was custom for local craft guilds to fund the construction of the stained glass windows. The wood turners' guild paid for the St. Caletric window. In the window the saint is depicted above a person using a pole lathe. St. Caletric became the unofficial saint of wood turners and is still regarded as such. This window is the earliest depiction of the pole lathe developed in the Middle Ages.

"Holy St. Caletric, may my hands be steady and my eyes behold the beauty in the wood. May my work be of benefit to all who see and hold it."
